Beat Cancer is a website developed as a part of a European project called The European Network of Youth Cancer Survivors. The site has a number of resources, and a great community of cancer survivors and their garegivers.
The project
The European Network of Youth Cancer Survivors (EU-CAYAS-NET) is a project co-funded by the European Commission, uniting leading AYA (Adolescent and Young Adults) and childhood cancer organizations from 18 countries to map existing resources, create new European guidelines, and empower young cancer patients, survivors, and their caregivers.
The main project beneficiaries are Childhood Cancer International - Europe and Youth Cancer Europe.
Community
A part of this project is a Discordserver. This is an interactive hub where you can get the answers you are looking for, bond with your peers, and forge collaborations while having fun.
Discord is a platform where you can talk over voice, video or chat. On the Beat Cancer Discord server, you can talk to other young cancer survivors and carers across Europe. It also has different channels with topics such as lifestyle, mental healt, love and education.
Resources
On beatcancer.eu you can explore a whole universe of resources such as articles, videoes, podcasts, guidelines etc. - all related to being young and dealing with cancer.
Read personal stories, get movie recommendations, attend webinars, catch up on activities in the EU-CAYAS-NET project, or learn more about different topics such as sexuality, fertility, fear of cancer reocurrance, or how to take care of your body after cancer.
